Tamil actor JK Rithesh passes away during political campaign; LKG co star RJ Balaji shares emotional message - PINKVILLA


JK Rithesh was last seen in the film LGK. JK Ritesh, his 'LKG' co-star RJ Balaji also took to Twitter and expressed the grief over the loss.

In shocking news, Tamil actor and politician JK Rithesh died of cardiac arrest while campaigning in his hometown Ramanathapuram on Saturday afternoon. The 46-year-old actor turned politician was immediately taken to the hospital after he complained of severe chest pain. However, couldn't be saved.  He was a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Member of Parliament (MP) in the 15th Lok Sabha from Ramanathpuram constituency. JK Rithesh was last seen in the film LGK. His 'LKG' co-star RJ Balaji also took to Twitter


RJ Balaji took to twitter and expressed the grief over the loss. He wrote, "Shocked and devastated hearing the news about the loss of JK Rithesh sir. Not able to believe. He was just 46. Gone too soon. He was like a brother to me and blessing to the lives of many. He helped and changed so many lives. No words to describe the pain.." 


He further tweeted, "I will miss you sir. You treated me like your own brother. Not got even a rupee to act in LKG. So much love, care and warmth. You were a great human being. God is so cruel to take you away from your beautiful family with three children. Feel terrible."

JK Rithesh started off in politics with DMK, but in 2014, he left the party and joined AIADMK. 


In November 2011, JK Rithesh hit the headlines after he was arrested in a land grabbing case. He was booked in charges of cheating a US citizen of Indian origin for promising him buying a land.
